Last year, 688 such SUVs disappeared in the country — almost twice as many compared to 2023. In Ukraine, the situation with Land Cruiser thefts also leaves much to be desired. Due to their high price and stable demand, these vehicles attract criminals who take them either for further sale or to strip them for parts.
The Land Cruiser regularly appears on the list of the most stolen cars in Ukraine — and this has been going on not for one or two years, but seemingly for several decades. This trend indicates that the model is consistently in demand among criminals.
During such thefts, criminals use various approaches — from ordinary methods to more complex technical schemes that allow them to interfere with the car's electronics. Therefore, owners of this model should be vigilant and take care of additional security measures to reduce the risk of theft.
