Top regions for electric vehicle registrations

The most electric cars were registered in the following regions:

  • Lviv region — 482 cars (93% of them used);
  • the capital — 475 cars (62% used);
  • Kyiv region — 290 cars (73% used);
  • Dnipropetrovsk region — 240 units (81% used);
  • Odesa region — 233 cars (70% from the secondary market).

Which models were in demand

In the category of new electric cars, the BYD Song Plus EV model almost everywhere held the lead. The only exception was Kyiv, where the light commercial van Maxus Deliver 9 turned out to be the most sought-after — companies actively bought it for their own needs.

As for used electric vehicles imported from other countries, the distribution was as follows:

  • Tesla Model Y — most often chosen in Kyiv and the region;
  • Tesla Model 3 — dominated in Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions;
  • Nissan Leaf — was the undisputed leader in the Odesa region.

How the market changed

It is worth noting that last year the Ukrainian car fleet grew by 51.7 thousand electric vehicles (both new and used). This confirms the gradual but confident growth of Ukrainians' interest in electric transport.
