Last year, cars with petrol engines accounted for 47% of the new passenger car market, which is 10 percentage points less than in 2022.

The diesel segment held at 23%. At the same time, hybrids increased their presence from 13% to almost 18%, and electric cars from 6% to 12%. The share of cars with LPG equipment remained almost unchanged at about 1% of the new car market.

In the secondary market, where cars received Ukrainian registration last year, vehicles with internal combustion engines also prevailed:

  • Petrol — 45% (increase by 6 p.p.)
  • Diesel — 33% (decrease by 19 p.p.)
  • Electric cars — 14% (increase by 11 p.p.)
  • Cars with LPG — 5% (no change)
  • Hybrids — 3% (increase by 2 p.p.)
