Before the full-scale war, Volodymyr Mukan was engaged in journalism: he worked for the publication "Gazeta po-ukrayinsky", the magazine "Krayina" and the internet portal Gazeta.ua. He also co-organized the Old Car Land car event.
For his colleagues, Volodymyr Mukan was a decent, responsive and reliable person. From the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, he joined the ranks of Ukraine's defenders, and shortly before his death he was awarded the officer rank of junior lieutenant.
