So, Ukrainians will be able to choose one of two options: to receive only digital versions of documents that grant the right to drive a car, or to order the usual plastic cards — a driver's license and a vehicle registration certificate, say, at a service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As reported by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapiatyi, the government approved the last by-law document (in total, these are three resolutions and one law) that regulates at the legislative level the issuance of an electronic driver's license and an electronic vehicle registration certificate.
According to the adopted decision, digital versions of these documents — e-driver's license and e-vehicle registration certificate — can be used as the sole proof of a citizen's right to get behind the wheel.
If earlier, when registering a car or obtaining a license, paper or plastic forms were mandatory, then already from mid-December it will be possible to completely refuse them.
