We are talking about search phrases such as "buy an electric car" or "electric car price in Ukraine", according to the analytical report of the Olshansky & Partners agency.
The biggest surge of interest among Ukrainians in purchasing electric vehicles was recorded in May 2022, when the fuel shortage was especially noticeable — 205,000 requests per month. In total, during 2020, the demand for electric cars in Ukraine with the intention to buy reached 835,000 requests per year, and in 2021 — 986,000 requests (an increase of 18.1%). For the first half of 2022, this figure amounted to 541,000 requests.
During April–June 2022, the overall interest of Ukrainians in electric vehicles online reached 1.97 million queries. This became a record in terms of the volume of requests on this topic. For comparison, in the first quarter of 2022 (January–March), Ukrainians were interested in electric vehicles 1.12 million times.
