Ihor Fris, a people's deputy from the "Servant of the People" party and one of the authors of the draft law, shared details of this initiative.
He noted that parliamentarians propose amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes, which provide for the possibility of importing one passenger car without paying customs duties (in particular, duty, excise tax, and VAT), as well as without contributions to the Pension Fund for the following categories of citizens:
- combatants;
- civilians whose cars were destroyed due to the war.
"Such a car will be prohibited from being sold or transferred by power of attorney for three years. The document has just been submitted for electronic registration," Fris reported.
