Code "78" will be assigned to those who took the test in a car with an automatic transmission. At the same time, apparently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs considers any gearbox without a clutch pedal to be automatic, including robotic and CVT types. Subsequently, a driver with such a mark in field 12 will be entitled to drive only cars with automatic transmissions. If there is no mark, then there are no restrictions on the type of gearbox. Those motorists who received their licenses before these new designations were introduced are not subject to any restrictions.
