The Cabinet of Ministers has approved new driver training rules that introduce training according to the European model. Now, to start behind-the-wheel practice, future drivers will first need to complete a general theoretical course and successfully pass an exam on it.
The innovations, in addition to bringing standards in line with European ones, should also speed up the training process. The daily duration of theoretical classes will not exceed five hours, and per week — 25 hours.
For those undergoing retraining (for example, to obtain licenses for lower categories), the program now provides a 20-hour practical driving course.
