The AUTO-Consulting publication decided to clarify the current situation and addressed this question to fuel market experts.
According to the A-95 Consulting Group, over the past two months, prices for autogas have increased by about 60 kopecks per liter, and today the average price is 17.87 UAH.
According to the director of special projects at the STC "Psychea", Professor Gennady Ryabtsev, the rise in natural gas prices has nothing to do with LPG prices. And these two energy sources should not be linked. But at the same time, the lower the temperature, the less liquefied gas motorists in our country begin to consume. Cars with LPG equipment increase gasoline consumption for starting and warming up the engine when cold weather sets in. And they consume less LPG.

At the same time, many countries are starting to purchase more LPG, which they use for heating premises. Accordingly, LPG prices on the world market rise slightly, and the gas itself becomes less available for free sale. And less of it is imported into Ukraine.
Professor Ryabtsev also noted that these two main trends should balance each other out. Therefore, in the near future, autogas prices in Ukraine are likely to remain unchanged.
The analyst at the A-95 Consulting Group, Artem Kuyun, has a slightly different opinion. Indeed, in the pipeline there is methane, and at the gas station there is propane-butane, but one way or another, all energy in the country is interconnected. Mr. Kuyun predicts that in the short term, Ukrainian autogas prices will be stable, but in the medium term, their growth is quite possible.
