Prices for new cars in Ukraine

So, the cost of new cars has already jumped in September, and prices will continue to rise – by 1-2% per month. This is due to the fact that demand continues to exceed supply. According to experts' forecasts, the situation will stabilize only next year, when the shortage of new cars will be overcome.

Car shortage

As noted in the article by autoconsulting.ua, the following situation has developed with a number of popular models. The crossover Renault Duster is currently mostly available with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Moreover, more often – with a petrol engine. The popular diesel version with automatic transmission should appear only in November, the all-wheel drive version – possibly in October.

The choice is also limited for Suzuki Vitara. There are front-wheel drive modifications, but 4x4 versions will appear no earlier than 2022.

The situation with Skoda Octavia is even worse. The first deliveries are scheduled for February. Moreover, we are talking about already ordered cars, and only with a 1.4-liter engine. If the buyer needs a different unit, they will have to wait until April-May 2022. Orders for some versions are being accepted now, while others can only be booked in December-January (for example, the Octavia with automatic transmission).

A similar picture is with Toyota RAV4. Orders are not being accepted yet. Perhaps in October-November warehouses will open and the first cars will arrive in Ukraine in January-March 2022. However, the choice will be among those cars that are in stock – it will be impossible to choose some special configuration.

However, as dealers note, sometimes 1-3 cars may "suddenly appear from somewhere". But they need to be "caught", as they are snapped up very quickly.

It should be noted that in August 2021, 8,450 new cars were sold in Ukraine, which is 20% more than a year earlier. Ukrainians spent 266 million dollars on cars without mileage last month.
