Let us remind you that the British brand MG, owned by the Chinese corporation SAIC, recently re-entered the Ukrainian market. The lineup already includes the affordable electric crossover MG ZS EV, and soon it will be joined by the larger Marvel R model.
The electric MG Marvel R was developed with European buyers in mind. Its direct competitors include the Audi Q4 e-tron, Mercedes EQC, and Tesla Model Y. At the same time, the newcomer costs somewhat less than its rivals: the price in the top trim is 40–50 thousand euros.
The dimensions of the electric vehicle are as follows: length — 4674 mm, width — 1919 mm, height — 1618 mm, and wheelbase reaches 2800 mm. The exterior is done in a calm style, although there are memorable elements, such as LED lighting that stretches across the full width of the body.
Inside, there is a digital instrument cluster and a large 14.9-inch touchscreen. The buttons on the center console are also touch-sensitive. The main trunk holds from 357 to 1396 liters, and under the hood there is an additional compartment with a volume of 150 liters.
The all-wheel-drive version of the MG Marvel R features three electric motors with a combined output of 288 hp and 665 Nm. Such a car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and to 50 km/h in just 1.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h. The 70 kWh battery provides a range of up to 400 km on the WLTP cycle, and fast charging to 80% takes about half an hour.
