The Ukrautoprom association explains that such a significant increase compared to 2020 is due to the fact that the majority of electric vehicles in Ukraine (90%) are used, and during the lockdown a year ago, registration of used cars was banned.

In total, Ukrainians bought 627 passenger and 33 commercial electric cars in March, with only 66 of them being new. It is also noted that the market leader has changed again – Nissan Leaf regained the first position (151 cars sold).
