Naturally, we are talking specifically about new cars, because the procedure for registering them is somewhat simpler. Buyers will be offered the opportunity to choose – to register the vehicle themselves at a service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or to do it through a car dealership.
Obviously, the new service will be provided by car dealerships that have received permission from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The details of the procedure are not yet known, but the CEO of the All-Ukrainian Association of Automobile Importers and Dealers (UAAID) Oleh Nazarenko suggested that car dealerships will periodically receive a certain number of license plates and blank vehicle registration certificates from the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Special hardware and software systems will also be installed to print on plastic vehicle registration certificates. A registration certificate can only be issued upon command from the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs after verification of all necessary documents.
