The Minister reminded that the return of technical inspection is one of the requirements of the documents on European integration – Ukraine has committed to implement a number of eco-standards. As it became known earlier, the technical inspection will no longer be carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (as before 2011), but at certified service stations.

“Compliance with vehicle technical requirements and control are important. But it should be done gently so as not to cause a negative reaction and resistance from the population. Because many remember the State Automobile Inspection, when there were endless queues and all this was sold for some hryvnia,” emphasized Vladislav Kryklii.

It is planned that in Ukraine, passenger cars older than 4 years will undergo technical inspection, and this procedure will need to be carried out once every two years. Let us remind you that currently it is mandatory only for vehicles transporting passengers and cargo on a regular commercial basis.
