Earlier, the Mitsubishi Outlander 2021 was already revealed in spy photos. The car's design will undergo radical changes – especially original will be the front part with two-tier LED optics in the spirit of the Elenberg Tourer concept car.

It is also known that the Mitsubishi crossover will become larger, and the platform for it will be borrowed from the Nissan X-Trail (as part of the partnership within the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance). The 2.5-liter 184-horsepower gasoline four-cylinder engine and CVT are also familiar from the X-Trail.

But the plug-in hybrid Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will obviously retain the 224-horsepower setup of the current model. At the same time, the electric range is promised to be increased to about 70 km.
