Last month, the French brand RENAULT became the leader in the number of new car registrations — 1,422 vehicles were registered. Compared to August 2018, Renault sales in Ukraine grew by 44 percent.

The second position was taken by TOYOTA, which increased August sales by 20% — to 1,175 cars.

The top three was closed by KIA, whose demand rose by 71% and amounted to 817 units.

In fourth place in the August ranking was SKODA — 601 cars, which is 49% more than last year's figure.

NISSAN, despite a 5% decrease in registrations, remained in the top five — 472 new cars of this brand joined the domestic car fleet.

The top ten most popular brands of the reporting month also included: VOLKSWAGEN — 453 units (+45%); HYUNDAI — 381 units (-16%); MAZDA — 232 units (-26%); AUDI — 219 units (+103%); SUZUKI — 200 units (-28%).

The most sought-after car of August was again the KIA Sportage — this time 711 buyers voted for it with their wallets.

Over the three summer months, 22.4 thousand new passenger cars underwent primary registration in Ukraine. Thus, this summer turned out to be the most successful since 2013, when 55 thousand new cars were registered.

Since the beginning of the year, the total volume of the new passenger car market has reached 54.6 thousand units — this is 2% more than in the same period last year.
