According to the company, this result became a new world speed record. The hypercar was driven by pilot Andy Wallace.
Exactly what changes distinguish the special version of the Bugatti Chiron from the standard model has not yet been disclosed. As Top Gear notes, the new car has become 25 centimeters longer, received a different aerodynamic body kit and special Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires.
The Bugatti Chiron is equipped with a seven-liter W16 engine with 1500 horsepower and four turbochargers. The car reaches the first hundred kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds, and its top speed is limited to 420 kilometers per hour "for safety reasons." To remove the limiter, a special key is needed, with which the maximum speed can increase to 450 kilometers per hour.
