In July of this year, the leader in registrations of new passenger cars in Ukraine was the RENAULT brand — 1,203 cars. Sales of the French brand grew by 66% year-on-year compared to the same month in 2018.
The second position was taken by TOYOTA with 1,039 cars sold, showing a 44% increase compared to July of last year.
The top three was closed by SKODA — 687 registrations, which is 37% higher than the result of a year ago.
The fourth place went to the Korean brand KIA: last month, 595 cars received their first license plates. Demand grew by 36% compared to July 2018.
The top five is completed by NISSAN — 488 cars (+5%).
The ten most popular brands also included: HYUNDAI — 468 cars (+4%), VOLKSWAGEN — 338 cars (-22%), SUZUKI — 259 cars (-1%), BMW — 236 cars (+11%), and MAZDA — 233 cars (no change).
The most sought-after car of the month was the KIA Sportage: this model was chosen by 479 buyers.
Over the first seven months of the year, the Ukrainian car fleet grew by 46.3 thousand new passenger cars — this is 0.3% more than in the same period last year.
