The Japanese brand TOYOTA holds the lead in the market. In June, 1259 new cars of this brand were registered with Ukrainian plates. The figure is almost 70 percent higher than the result of the same month last year.
Next comes RENAULT: 1084 cars of this brand joined the domestic vehicle fleet. The June result of the French manufacturer improved by 61 percent.
The third line of the ranking was taken by KIA — 535 buyers preferred this brand, which is 18 percent more than a year earlier.
The fourth position went to NISSAN — 467 cars, an increase of 28 percent compared to June 2018.
The top five is closed by HYUNDAI with a result of 447 cars, which is 5 percent higher than last year's level.
From January to June of this year, just over 39.5 thousand new passenger cars underwent primary registration in Ukraine. The gap from the first half of last year is minimal — only 13 cars in favor of the current period.
The best dynamics over the first six months of 2019 was shown by RENAULT, which has 5719 registration plates to its credit. Sales of this brand grew almost one and a half times compared to the same period last year.
TOYOTA, whose demand increased by 13 percent, took the second place with 5646 registered cars.
The third brand in the Ukrainian market was KIA. Since the beginning of the year, 3320 drivers have chosen this Korean company. KIA's popularity in Ukraine increased by 83 percent relative to the same period last year.
The best-selling new passenger car in the first half of 2019 was the KIA Sportage — the model has 2479 registrations to its credit.
