Thus, compared to May of last year, the production of passenger cars in Ukraine increased by 18%. As before, the main share in passenger car statistics is provided by large-knockdown assembly at the Eurocar enterprise.
The volume of bus production in May remained at the same level. The leader, as a year ago, was Cherkasy Bus, which produced 30 vehicles. The Chernihiv Automobile Plant assembled 12 buses, while ZAZ and Chasiv Yar Plant each produced 9 units. Bohdan reported three buses.
The production of commercial vehicles (excluding AutoKrAZ, which has not published data on its production since August 2016) increased by only one vehicle. Last month, commercial vehicles were assembled by Cherkasy Bus and ZAZ — 5 and 1 units, respectively.
Since the beginning of the year, 2,390 units of motor vehicles have been manufactured in Ukraine, which is 25% less than in the first five months of last year.
Passenger cars — 2,028 units (−26%);
Commercial vehicles — 21 units (−80%);
Buses — 341 units (+7%).
