Last month, Ukrainian car enthusiasts preferred Toyota vehicles. In May, this Japanese brand received 1,238 primary registrations of new cars. Thus, the company's result exceeded last year's figure for the same period by almost 46 percent.

Renault took the second position. Over the month, the country's fleet was replenished with 967 new passenger cars of this brand. Compared to May 2018, sales of new Renaults in Ukraine rose by 29 percent.

The third line, despite a slight decline of 0.6% relative to last year's result, was taken by HYUNDAI. The brand has 501 registered cars to its name.

The fourth place in the May ranking went to Nissan – 468 cars sold and a 26% increase compared to May of last year.

Kia closes the top five with a result of 445 cars (+18%).

The top ten leaders of the May market also included: Skoda – 319 units (-17%); Volkswagen – 314 units (-24%); Mitsubishi – 250 units (+57%); Mazda – 215 units (-13%); Suzuki – 205 units (-11%).

The title of the best-selling model of the month went to the Toyota RAV-4 – 551 buyers chose this car.
