However, the era of undivided dominance of classic sedans is gradually coming to an end, yielding the palm to crossovers. But it is too early to bury traditional three-box cars — their market share, although shrinking, still remains impressive.
In the first three months of this year, Ukrainians purchased 3,956 new sedans. Comparing with the same period a year ago, it is clear that interest in this body type has fallen by almost 16 percent. At the same time, the segment's share of the overall market lost two percentage points, dropping from 24 to 22 percent.
Currently, the bestseller among fresh three-box passenger cars in Ukraine remains the Renault Logan. From January to March, 494 such cars were registered, which received their first license plates.
The second place in the popularity ranking is occupied by the Toyota Camry — the choice of 443 buyers.
The top three most sought-after models is closed by the Volkswagen Polo sedan, whose result was 330 units sold over the quarter.
