As usual, the bulk of the monthly statistics was provided by the passenger car segment of the domestic auto industry — 197 vehicles. Compared to December of last year, passenger car production fell almost fourfold, with all output coming off the assembly line of a single enterprise — Eurocar.
Trucks were not produced at all in the last month of the year (data for AutoKrAZ is absent — the plant has not published its production reports since August 2016).
Bus production decreased by 71% and amounted to 69 units.
Over all twelve months of 2018, 6,616 vehicles were assembled in the country — 23% less than a year earlier.
Passenger cars — 5,660 units (minus 22%);
Commercial vehicles — 132 units (minus 73%);
Buses — 824 units (plus 2.5%).
