Almost all of the October statistics for the passenger car segment of the Ukrainian automotive industry were generated by the Eurocar plant — it is currently the only enterprise in the country whose data is taken into account in this category. However, the enterprise's result for the month amounted to 635 cars, which is almost 4% worse than for the same month a year earlier.

Compared to October 2017, the total output of passenger cars decreased by 24%.

Truck production in October (excluding AutoKrAZ, which has not published data on its operations since August 2016) stopped at 12 units — this is exactly four times less than a year ago.

The only category that showed growth was buses: their output increased by 46% and reached 89 units.

Over the ten months of the current year, Ukraine produced 5,830 units of motor vehicles, which is 12% less than the same period last year.

Breakdown by type:

  • passenger cars — 5,023 units (minus 11%);
  • commercial vehicles — 130 units (minus 67%);
  • buses — 677 units (plus 13%).
