Last month, demand for new passenger cars was also 10% higher than in July. In August, 7.3 thousand cars received their first license plates.

The Ukrainian market is still dominated by the French brand Renault, whose sales in August grew by 39% compared to the same month in 2017. During this period, the country's fleet was replenished with 986 new cars of this brand.

The second position in popularity is held by Toyota, which sold 983 cars. The annual growth of registrations for this brand was 13%.

The top three is rounded out by Nissan with 498 new cars, which is 32% more than last year's result.

The fourth place in the ranking with an increase of 10% was taken by KIA — in August, 477 Ukrainians became owners of cars of this brand.

The top five is completed by Hyundai: 452 buyers chose this Korean brand, which exceeds the figure of a year ago by 45%.

In addition, the top ten best-selling brands of August included: Skoda – 404 cars (+1%); Mazda – 315 cars (+30%); Volkswagen – 313 cars (-40%); Ford – 294 cars (+20%); Suzuki – 277 cars (+54%).

The most popular model was the KIA Sportage — it was purchased by 338 drivers.
