According to the Ukrautoprom association, the share of imported used cars in the primary market continues to grow and has already exceeded 59%. This is a new maximum for second-hand cars: the previous record was recorded a month earlier, when the share of previously used cars in primary registrations reached 58%.

Compared to July last year, interest in imported used cars increased by 88%.

Among imported used cars, Volkswagen models were the most popular — last month, 1,566 such cars were registered. This is 3.6 times more than the number of new cars of this brand sold in July.

In second place in the ranking was Renault: 1,399 used cars, almost twice the sales volume of new Renaults.

Third place goes to Skoda — 951 used cars, which is 89% more than the number of primary registrations of new cars of this brand for the same month.

Used Fords found 626 owners in Ukraine — this is twice the July sales volume of new Ford passenger cars.

Closing the top five is Nissan: 519 not-so-fresh cars received Ukrainian registration (12% more than new cars of this brand).

The most popular models on the Ukrainian primary market for used passenger cars in July were:

Renault Megane — 1,026 units.

Volkswagen Passat — 662 units.

Skoda Octavia — 488 units.

Nissan Leaf — 317 units.

Volkswagen Golf — 292 units.

In total, since the beginning of the year, 51.6 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad have received Ukrainian license plates, which is 84% more than in the same period last year. Their share in the primary market was 53%.
