In the first half of the year, 6.4 thousand new commercial vehicles were officially registered in Ukraine. This indicates a revival in this segment of the car market — buyer interest in such vehicles has increased by 24 percent.
The leader in registrations in January-June was the Renault brand. During this period, 1,174 commercial vehicles of the French brand received their first license plates. Compared to the same period last year, sales of Renault's commercial model range in the country grew by 19 percent.
The second position was taken by Citroen — 588 vehicles. Demand for this brand increased 3.5 times during the reporting period.
Third place goes to Fiat — 573 vehicles. This is 3 percent more than in the first six months of last year.
In fourth place in the ranking is Ford — its models added 555 new commercial vehicles to the Ukrainian car fleet. Interest in Fords grew by almost 28 percent compared to last year's level.
The top five is rounded out by Belarusian MAZ. Over six months, this brand found 503 buyers in the Ukrainian market, which is 64 percent more than in the same period previously.
