In May, 14.6 thousand passenger cars underwent primary registration in Ukraine, of which 7,761 were used, accounting for 53 percent of the entire primary market. Compared to May last year, demand for imported used cars grew by 72 percent.

Among imported used cars, Volkswagen became the leader — last month, 1,223 such cars were registered. This is almost three times more than the number of new cars of this brand sold in Ukraine over the same period.

Renault took second place: 1,099 used cars, which exceeded May sales of new Renaults by 46 percent.

Skoda took third position — 750 used cars, which amounted to two-thirds of all primary registrations of this brand in May.

Imported Ford cars not of the first freshness found 537 owners in May — this is 69 percent more than new Fords sold.

Opel closed the top five of the month: 428 used cars versus 16 new ones.

The most sought-after models on the Ukrainian primary market for used passenger cars in May were:

Renault Megane — 843 units.

Volkswagen Passat — 523 units.

Skoda Octavia — 400 units.

Nissan Leaf — 247 units.

Volkswagen Golf — 225 units.

Since the beginning of the year, a total of 32.9 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad have received Ukrainian registration. This is 81 percent more than in the same period last year.
