The worst quality of road surface in the world is currently recorded in Mauritania. It is followed by the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Haiti, which received 2.1 points out of a possible 7, as well as Madagascar and Guinea with 2.2 points and Yemen with 2.3 points.
Ukraine, together with Paraguay, ended up in 130th place, scoring 2.4 points and yielding to such "developed" states as Mozambique and Nigeria, which received 2.5 points each.
Among the countries with the best roads, the United Arab Emirates leads with 6.4 points. Singapore takes second place with a score of 6.3 points, and third place is shared by Switzerland and Hong Kong with 6.3 and 6.2 points respectively. Next come the Netherlands and Japan (6.1 points each), France, Portugal, and Austria (6 points each), and the United States closes the top ten with 5.7 points.
