Last month, the leader on the Ukrainian market unexpectedly changed: it became Volkswagen, which a year ago was in second place. Over 28 days, this German brand, known for its affordability, received 830 Ukrainian registration plates. Such a leap is explained by the sale of diesel cars of the 2015 model year. As a result, Volkswagen's February figures were 2.2 times higher than in the same period last year.
The second place was taken by Toyota, which a year earlier was in third place. Sales of this brand in February doubled compared to 2017, reaching 697 cars.
The third place went to Renault, which was the leader in February last year: 536 registrations and an increase of only 0.8%.
The fourth position was shared by Ukrainian buyers between Audi and Nissan, purchasing 367 cars of each brand. At the same time, Nissan showed growth of 29%, while Audi demonstrated more than a twofold increase — plus 116% to February 2017.
The top five is closed by Skoda with a result of 362 cars, which is 46% more than a year ago.
The top ten best-selling brands of last month also included: Hyundai — 338 units (+2%), Ravon — 270 units (+197%), Ford — 228 units (-18%), Mazda — 198 units (+33%) and Mitsubishi — 178 units (+45%).
The most popular car of February was the diesel Volkswagen Golf of 2015, chosen by 408 buyers.
