The main share in the total output of automotive vehicles was occupied by passenger cars – 835 units were assembled. Compared to September, this figure increased by 21.2%, and relative to October last year – by 91.5%.
As for buses, in October their production amounted to 61 units. This is 16.4% less than a month earlier, but 27.1% more than in the same period a year earlier.
In addition, in the reporting month, 48 trucks were manufactured, mainly at the facilities of PJSC "ZAZ". This result is four times higher than the volumes of October last year, but 20% lower than the indicators of the previous month. It is worth noting that PJSC "AutoKrAZ" has stopped publishing data on its production volumes since August last year for unclear reasons.
In general, over the first ten months of 2017, 6,640 vehicles were produced in Ukraine, which is 79% more than in the same period last year. The distribution by category is as follows:
Passenger cars – 5,649 units, which is 86.9% more than in January–October last year.
Commercial vehicles – 394 units, which is 20.6% less than the same period last year.
Buses – 597 units, which exceeds last year's result by 214.2%.
