The most popular brand among Ukrainian motorists remains Toyota — in the first nine months of 2017, 6,880 new cars of this Japanese brand hit domestic roads. Compared to the same period last year, Toyota's result grew by 32 percent.
The second place in the ranking is steadily held by Renault, whose cars were registered 6,130 times. Sales of new passenger cars of the French brand increased by one and a half times over the year.
The third position went to Volkswagen: growth was 18 percent, and the total number of sold cars reached 4,322 units.
In fourth place is KIA. This Korean brand was chosen by 4,002 buyers, which is 51% more than a year earlier.
Skoda closes the top five — 3,877 sold cars, which is 49% higher than the figure for the same period last year.
It is noteworthy that the composition of the top-5 leaders of the Ukrainian market has not changed compared to the first nine months of last year, and their combined share in the total volume of new passenger car registrations grew from 41 to 44 percent.
