During the first eight months of the current year, Ukraine saw a 30 percent increase in demand for new passenger cars compared to the same period a year earlier. From January to August, residents of the country bought and registered about 50 thousand new vehicles.

The most sought-after car was the Korean KIA Sportage — over eight months, Ukrainian drivers purchased 2500 such cars.

The second line of the ranking is held by Renault Logan, which was chosen by 1883 buyers.

The third place went to Skoda Octavia with 1644 cars sold in Ukraine.

In fourth position is Renault Duster — 1626 units, and the top five is rounded out by Toyota RAV-4 with 1508 sales.

The top ten most popular new cars on the Ukrainian market, for which buyers voted with their wallets, also included: Toyota Corolla — 1212 units, Hyundai Tucson — 1148 units, Nissan Qashqai — 1037 units, Volkswagen Tiguan — 1019 units, and Ford Fiesta — 956 units.
