In June of this year, the largest number of registration plates were received by cars of the Japanese brand Toyota — 742 units. Compared to the same month last year, the number of Toyota registrations in Ukraine increased by 42 percent.

Losing to the leader by only two cars, the second position in the June ranking was taken by the French company Renault, whose demand for cars rose by 67 percent.

Third place went to Skoda — 553 sold cars, which is 34% more than in June 2016.

In fourth place was Kia: 502 buyers preferred this Korean manufacturer, which exceeds last year's figure by 56%.

The top five is closed by Mitsubishi. This Japanese brand has 455 Ukrainian registration plates to its credit — almost five times more than in June a year earlier. Such a jump in primary registrations of Mitsubishi this time was not a surprise or a merit of the dealer network, but was quite predictable given reports of the police receiving a large batch of hybrid models of this brand, purchased with funds received by Ukraine from the sale to Japan of greenhouse gas emission quotas under the Kyoto Protocol.

In addition, the TOP-10 of June included: Volkswagen — 395 cars (+22%); Nissan — 385 cars (+76%); Hyundai — 343 cars (+48%); Ford — 312 cars (+34%) and Mercedes-Benz — 260 cars (+41%).
