The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 5624 concerning the rules for importing vehicles into the territory of Ukraine and their registration. The document provides for the phased introduction of international environmental standards for cars.
The parliamentarians decided to postpone the mandatory compliance with Euro-6 standards until January 1, 2020. Previously, it was assumed that this standard would become mandatory for the initial registration of cars already from January 1, 2018.
The law will come into force on the day following its official publication.
