The main share of the total vehicle production was occupied by passenger cars — 562 units were produced, all of which came off the assembly line of PJSC "Eurocar". This is 117% more than in February and 121% higher than the figure for March last year.
As for commercial vehicles, in the reporting month Ukrautoprom recorded the production of 44 such vehicles, all of which were manufactured at PJSC "ZAZ". The decline compared to the previous month was 12%, and compared to March 2016 — 4%. It is noteworthy that a year earlier, the statistics still included products of PJSC "AutoKrAZ", but this manufacturer, for unknown reasons, stopped providing data on its vehicle production back in August 2016.
In addition, 81 buses were manufactured during the month. This result was 53% better than in February and 16 times higher than the volumes of March last year.
Based on the results of the first three months of 2017, a total of 1,443 vehicles were produced in Ukraine, which is 86% more than in the same period a year earlier. The distribution by category is as follows:
Passenger cars — 1,121 units, which is 79% higher than last year's level.
Commercial vehicles — 153 units (+9% compared to the same period).
Buses — 169 units, which is 1,590% more than last year.
