The main share of the total vehicle output was passenger cars — 259 units were produced, all of which came off the assembly line of PJSC "Eurocar". Compared to February 2016, passenger car production grew by almost 74%, but relative to January of this year, the figure decreased by 14%.
Commercial vehicles in the reporting month numbered 50 units — all produced at PJSC "ZAZ". This is 67% more than in February last year, but 15% less than in the previous month. The Association clarifies that the figures for commercial vehicles may not reflect the real picture, since PJSC "AutoKrAZ" stopped publishing data on its own production since August last year.
In addition, this month 53 buses were produced, which is 51% higher than the previous month's figure. In February 2016, buses were not produced at all.
In total, over the first two months of 2017, 756 vehicles were manufactured in Ukraine — this is 60% more than in the same period a year earlier. Of them:
Passenger cars — 559 units (+50% to the same period last year).
Commercial vehicles — 109 units (+16% to the same period).
Buses — 88 units (+1660% to the same period last year).
