On the Korean market, the Sonata's engine lineup includes a two-liter gasoline engine with 163 hp, a 180-horsepower turbo engine with a volume of 1.6 liters, and a diesel power unit 1.7 VGT with 141 hp.
For the top version, a 240-horsepower turbo engine with a volume of 2 liters is provided, working in tandem with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Other modifications are equipped with the previous 6-speed automatic.
