Another factor is that a significant portion of Ukrainian drivers switched to LPG equipment, which naturally hit gasoline sales. However, diesel fuel also lost demand.

In the first six months of 2016, gasoline sales through Ukrainian gas stations decreased by 5% compared to the same period in 2015, while diesel fuel decreased by 8%.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the total use of gasoline, including industrial consumption and retail, also decreased by 5%.
