Minister of Transport of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan announced on his Facebook page the signing of the document.
According to Omelyan, this document provides for the creation of a joint venture in Ukraine that will be engaged in the production of rolling stock. He emphasized that this opens up significant opportunities for the country to modernize railway infrastructure and serves as a signal to foreign investors that investing resources, funds, and technologies in Ukraine is promising.
The event dedicated to the signing was attended by Canadian Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland, who has Ukrainian roots. Omelyan described her as a true Ukrainian Canadian minister.
