As Autoportal has already written, the new Slavuta resembles the Chinese hatchback Riich G2. However, the Ukrainian side does not deny that the appearance of this model is the result of cooperation between the UkrAVTO Corporation, PJSC "ZAZ" and Chery Automobile Co. With this presentation, the Ukrainian automaker demonstrates its readiness to master the production of a new model and begins studying the feedback of potential consumers in domestic and foreign markets. It is planned that the model, like all ZAZ products, will be positioned in the budget segment up to $10,000.
The start of production of the new model will be determined and conditioned by the main basic factors:
- Positive perception by potential consumers and satisfaction of their requirements;
- Economic feasibility of production, determined by a production volume of 50,000 cars, including exports, and upon reaching a domestic market size of 300,000 new passenger cars;
- Availability of local suppliers, in cooperation with which a localization level of at least 50% should be achieved;
- Adaptation of Ukrainian legislation for manufacturers in accordance with the conditions of EU countries.
It is planned to start production of the new model with a base hatchback body (5 doors), which will be offered with a line of petrol engines: 1.3 liters and 1.3 liters with turbocharging or 1.5 liters, which will be paired with one of two types of transmissions - manual or CVT. The model meets all modern European environmental standards (Euro-6) and safety standards.
During the summer, the Slavuta Nova will be available for viewing at the dealership "Avtotsentr na Stolichnom".
