In Ukraine, the new Sportage is available in 12 body colors (5 of which are new) and with several interior trim options. The powertrain lineup includes two diesel engines with a displacement of 1.7 L (115 hp) and 2.0 L (185 hp), as well as two gasoline engines – 1.6 L (132 hp) and 2.0 L (155 hp).
The Kia Sportage has become 40 mm longer, its wheelbase has grown by 30 mm, and the trunk volume has increased by 48 liters. It also received an extremely rigid body (the use of high-strength steel increased from 18% to 51%), a number of modern active and passive safety features, improved visibility, and significantly reduced noise and vibration levels. The high reliability of the fourth-generation Kia Sportage was confirmed by authoritative Euro NCAP tests, according to which the new car received the maximum safety rating – 5 stars.
The new Kia Sportage is available in four trim levels: Comfort, Business, Prestige, and the sporty GT Line version. Already in the Comfort trim, the car has: 6 airbags; ABS (anti-lock braking system), ESC (electronic stability control), VSM (vehicle stability management); DBC/HAC (downhill brake control/hill-start assist control); disc brakes on all 4 wheels; active headrests for front and rear seats; cruise control; automatic headlight activation system; telescopic steering wheel adjustment horizontally and vertically; double-damping shock absorbers; additional brake light signal during emergency braking; front fog lights and rear fog lights; 16-inch alloy wheels; tire pressure monitoring, folding rearview mirrors with electric adjustment, and other useful features. Especially relevant in our climate will be the "Warm Options" package, which includes heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, and heated windshield wiper zone.
In the Comfort trim, the new Kia Sportage is offered with front-wheel drive and starts from UAH 506,000 for the version with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, from UAH 622,500 for the car with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, or from UAH 600,000 for the version with a 1.7-liter diesel engine. The two-liter engine will work with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the other two – with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Business trim will offer drivers the benefits of all-wheel drive and a choice of two powerful powertrains: an efficient 2-liter diesel engine and a 2-liter gasoline engine, which will be paired with a 6-speed automatic. Among other highlights of this trim: ATCC (Active Torque Control Cornering), rain sensor, rear parking sensors, driver's seat side support, combined interior trim (leather-fabric), dual-zone climate control with "Auto Defog" function, drive mode selection (Drive Mode Select), xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, infotainment system with 5-inch color display, rearview camera with guidance lines, etc. The price of the Sportage Business starts from UAH 725,000 for the car with a gasoline engine and from UAH 795,000 for the diesel version.
In the Prestige trim, the following options will be added to the Business package specifications: leather interior, blind-spot monitoring system, front parking sensors, electric adjustment of driver and front passenger seats, smart power tailgate, "Supervision" instrument cluster with 4.2-inch screen, ventilated front seats, rear LED lights, adaptive xenon headlights, black gloss radiator grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, navigation system with 7-inch display, etc. The new Kia Sportage in the Prestige trim will cost from UAH 847,500 for the version with a two-liter gasoline engine and from UAH 917,500 for the car with a 2-liter diesel engine.
The GT Line trim is available to Sportage customers for the first time. These cars are equipped with all-wheel drive, have a more sporty design and improved dynamic characteristics. Their main exterior features are square-shaped LED fog lights, similar to those used in the high-speed cee'd GT model, dual exhaust, 19-inch alloy wheels with original design, and silver protective moldings.
Inside, the Sportage GT Line has a leather-wrapped D-shaped steering wheel, glossy black decorative elements, chrome door handles, and aluminum alloy pedals. Comfort for the driver and passengers will be ensured by a large panoramic roof, LED lighting of the two-tone leather interior, a modern navigation system with an 8-inch screen, a powerful JBL Sound system with 320 watts, eight speakers, amplifier, and Clari-Fi music quality restoration technology. Also in this trim, for the first time in the compact crossover segment, wireless charging for mobile devices will be available.
The Sportage GT Line has unique suspension settings and is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering with electric power assist (R-MDPS), making it one of the most maneuverable crossovers in its class.
In Ukraine, the Sportage GT Line will be supplied with a significantly improved 2-liter turbocharged R diesel engine (price starts from UAH 906,200) and a reliable 2-liter NU series gasoline engine (priced from UAH 875,000), which work in pair with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Kia Sportage is produced at the Kia Motors plant in Zilina (Slovakia).
