This answer was given by the corporation "UkrAvto" in response to reports that ZAZ is ceasing car production and switching to the production of vehicle kits for export. According to AUTO-Consulting, ZAZ's model range remained unchanged compared to 2015. At the same time, the Sens, Lanos, Vida, and Forza models will meet Euro-5 requirements starting this year.
It is precisely because of stricter environmental standards that the Zaporizhia Automobile Plant is discontinuing the production of the Lanos with a 1.4-liter engine and automatic transmission, as well as the similar version of the VIDA model. The company claims that the plant's engineers managed to bring even the Ukrainian 1.3-liter engine, which is installed on the ZAZ Sens, up to Euro-5 toxicity standards.
The enterprise's production program is formed based on orders and market demand.
