Ukraine introduces additional duties on cars from the Russian Federation

The size of the new duties ranges from 10.41% to 17.66%. They will be in effect for five years, starting from January 3, 2016. For cars produced by OJSC AvtoVAZ, the countervailing duty is set at 14.57%, and for cars of other Russian manufacturers — 10.41%.

The highest tariffs apply to products of LLC Sollers-Far East (UAZ, SsangYong) — 17.66% of the customs value. The same rate applies to vehicles for which there is no certificate of origin, or when the manufacturer cannot be identified. The duties apply to passenger cars.
