This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. This means that cars imported into Ukraine are now not subject to duties of 2.15% and 4.32%, depending on engine size. Previously, recall, they were 6.46% and 12.95%.

According to experts, the abolition of special duties should make cars imported from abroad cheaper.
By making this decision, Ukraine adhered to the rules of the WTO, of which it is a member. Japan drew attention to the fact that the introduction of special duties does not comply with certain provisions of the WTO Agreement on Safeguards and Article XIX of GATT 1994, and officially appealed to the Ukrainian government to abolish such duties a couple of years ago.
