It should be noted that growth was recorded in all categories of vehicles. Commercial vehicles - plus 17%, passenger cars - plus 10%, and buses - plus 26%.
If we get to specific figures, the primary market for used cars amounted to 2,435 units, which is 40% of the total number of primary registrations. At the same time, 1,307 passenger cars were registered (28% of sales), commercial vehicles - 1,061 units (78% of sales), buses - 67 (75% of the total number of registered buses).
The leaders by brand, as before, remain among buses the Mercedes-Benz brand – 64% of the market. Among commercial vehicles - Renault, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen – 58%. Renault, Smart and Volkswagen became leaders in the passenger car segment – 70% of the market.
It is worth noting that the first month of summer gave a slight increase to the new car market as well. In addition, Ukrainian automakers managed to increase production in the passenger car segment. According to Ukrautoprom, in June 1,254 cars were produced in Ukraine, which is 183.7% more than in May (442 units), and 1.1% more than in June last year (1,240 units).
The volume of passenger car production is certainly depressing, and for the month it amounted to only 1,029 units, but this is 256.1% more compared to May, and 2% more than in June last year. Commercial vehicles were produced 139 units, or 32.4% more than the May figure, and 33.7% more relative to June last year.
In general, in the first half of 2015, 3,181 units of vehicles were produced in Ukraine, which is 86.7% less than last year's figures.
