As of May 13, the average cost of a liter of A-95 gasoline in Ukraine was 20 hryvnias 77 kopecks, diesel fuel — 20 hryvnias 45 kopecks, and liquefied gas cost — 8 hryvnias 70 kopecks.

According to the president of the association "Union of Operators of the Oil Products Market of Ukraine" Leonid Kosyanchuk, there are several factors influencing the rise in price of the main types of fuel, and they are interrelated.

The main factor directly affecting the cost of fuel is the rise in oil prices on the world market. In Ukraine, the increase in electricity costs is added, as most gas stations are large complexes with high energy consumption. Electricity is needed to service the premises, and it has almost doubled in price. With the arrival of summer, gas stations will turn on air conditioners and costs will increase even more. It is clear that all expenses will be included in the final cost of the sold product.

And if we take into account that according to official statistics, fuel sales volumes have fallen, then the costs of gas stations will increase the cost of fuel even more. In March 2015, Ukraine sold 123,500 tons of gasoline, which is 40.7% less than in the same period last year. Diesel fuel sales decreased by 41.3%.

Therefore, an approximate analysis of the state of the fuel and lubricants market shows a possible increase in the main types of fuel by 40-50 kopecks.
