The first fire occurred in a parking lot near a residential building on Kurchatov Street. Initially, one car caught fire, then the flames spread to other vehicles. State Emergency Service workers arrived at the scene immediately and extinguished the blaze within a few minutes. However, the cars could not be saved: two burned to the ground, one sustained serious damage.
Literally 10 minutes later, fire engulfed other cars on Zhukov Street. There, six cars completely burned down in a matter of minutes, and one was partially damaged.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs regards this incident as an intentional arson. An investigation is currently underway.
