The introduction of new categories "AM" and "A2" will significantly change the rules for driving two-wheeled vehicles. Category "AM" will provide access to mopeds and tricycles with a speed limited to 45 km/h. In turn, "A2" will allow driving motorcycles whose power does not exceed 35 kW (48 hp), and the power-to-weight ratio is 0.2 kW (0.27 hp) per kilogram. At the same time, category "T", which previously gave the right to drive trams and trolleybuses, will be excluded from the list of categories.

It is also planned to adjust the age restrictions for obtaining or expanding certain categories. If now you can get behind the wheel of a motorcycle at 16, then by 2017 this threshold will rise to 20 years. Similar changes will affect trucks and buses: today, category "C" licenses are issued from 18 years old, and category "D" from 21 years old. In just two years, these age limits will be 21 and 24 years, respectively.

However, there will also be relaxations. For those who plan to open categories "BE" and "C1E", allowing to drive passenger cars and light trucks with trailers, the minimum age will be reduced to 18 years instead of the current 19.
